Yanni Jota

Yanni Jota
Yanni is an accomplished health insurance professional with 20 years of progressive growth within the industry. Yanni joined Aetna in 2008 and has gained working experience in a wide range of roles including Sales, Account Management, and Operations. Over the last 7 Years, her focus has been building Aetna’s Latin American & Caribbean business. She is currently responsible for the business development, growth, and retention of the LAC region.
Yanni is originally from Venezuela. She graduated from St. Petersburg College, in Tampa Florida. She is currently living in Miami with her husband and two sons after returning from a successful 4 years expatriate assignment in Mexico.

Daniel Durazo

Daniel Durazo
Daniel Durazo manages public relations for travel insurance provider Allianz Partners USA. He is a 14-year veteran of the company and is an expert in media relations, reputation management and crisis communications. He actively works with internal and external audiences to promote the company’s products and services and appears frequently in national media outlets on travel insurance topics. Daniel is a member of the Forbes Communications Council and is a graduate of the University of Maryland College of Journalism.

Federico Tarling

Federico Tarling
Frederico Tarling has been working in the insurance industry since 1991. In 2002 he joined Assist Card and for 10 years he held different positions in Business Development with a main focus in Asia where he helped open sales operations in several countries. Since 2013 he has been the company’s Chief Service Officer and is a member of the Executive Committee. As Chief Service Officer, he is responsible for the fulfillment of services throughout the world, being the leader of the Assistance Dept., Suppliers Network Development Dept. and Reimbursement Department. He leads a team of over 300 professionals distributed around the world.

Diane Lynn

Diane Lynn
Diane Lynn is the Assistant Vice President of Operations and Administration Global Health Care at Atrium Health. In this role she is responsible for the national and international destination care programs as well as international strategy and business development. She has over 25 years of experience in business administration, operations, project management, and clinical research and development for organisations such Turner Broadcasting, Pfizer, National Newspaper Publishers Association, and ABN-AMRO. She has spent the past 15 years in healthcare administration having previously held roles at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and Sparrow Health System. Diane has a BS in business management from National Louis University and a Certificate of Management Excellence from Harvard Business School.

Dr Thomas Lescot

Dr Thomas Lescot
Dr Thomas Lescot is currently the Group Chief Medical Officer of Europ Assistance. Prior to his appointment, he held several academic and strategic leadership positions as a Vice-President Medical Affairs ELAMA region for an international pharmaceutical company, professor in Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine at Sorbonne University (Paris, France) and head of the Anesthesia and Critical Care Department at Saint-Antoine Hospital in Paris (Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris). Pr Thomas Lescot is a French medical doctor with a specialisation in anesthesiology and critical care medicine, and when he began his career he had the opportunity to serve as a medical doctor in an assistance company (for an emergency air ambulance services provider). He graduated from Paris Sorbonne University, received a PhD in Neurosciences from the University of Paris, a Critical Care fellowship from McGill University (Montreal, Qc, Canada) and obtained a diploma in medical management from MINES ParisTech.

Serge Avice du Buisson

Serge Avice du Buisson
Serge has broad experience in Travel Assistance and Insurance. He has worked in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Singapore and North America for several companies.
Serge is a flight paramedic with over 20 years’ experience and owned his own air ambulance company in South Africa. He has also run assistance and Network departments in South Africa, Canada and the USA and has worked on remote sites throughout Africa and the Middle East.
Serge has a focus on Operations, Networks, Data and Crisis Management and he has recently joined Flack and works as their Director of Network and Analytics.

Lauren Gumport

Lauren Gumport
Lauren Gumport is the Vice President of Communications & Brand at travel insurance disruptor, Faye. She has over ten years of experience in launching high-growth startups to global audiences and is passionate about the mix of travel and tech and how the combination of the two transforms experiences. With a data-driven approach to storytelling, Lauren has reached international markets and driven startup growth exponentially. Her travel commentary and expertise has been published in The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Forbes and more.

Jose Marchand

Jose Marchand
Jose R. Marchand is a program analyst for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region 2 in Puerto Rico, specialising in preparedness and continuity of operations.
Prior to joining FEMA, he worked for over six years as a senior attorney for a local law firm handling multiple cases in different areas at the state and federal levels.
Since joining FEMA in 2018, Jose has been leading and managing the implementation of programs and projects in related to Training and Exercises, Individual and Community Preparedness, Continuity of Operations, Continuous Improvement Program, among other areas, in support of the Government of Puerto Rico. His efforts in Preparedness for Puerto Rico awarded him with FEMA’s highest recognition, the 2019 FEMA Administrator Award in 2019, for being an Exemplary Emergency Manager.
In 2020, Jose became part of the FEMA Region 2 Caribbean Area Office, managing the Preparedness Division, managing the Continuity of Operations, Training and Exercises, Community Preparedness, Private Sector and the Continuous Improvement programs.
He has a Juris Doctor from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico-School of Law, and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus.
He is from San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Victor E. Navarro

Victor E. Navarro
Victor Navarro is the President for the Latin America Region and reports to our CEO. In this role, he is responsible for delivering Global Excel’s vision, products and services within the LATAM (Latin America) region. Victor has been with Global Excel since 2016 and has over 25 years’ experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining Global Excel, he held numerous leadership roles with Aon and AIG, and most recently was President of RSA USA.

Sergio Abril

Sergio Abril
Since 1999 Sergio Abril has been involved in the International Medical Evacuation Industry. First as the owner of an international ground ambulance company and since 2007 within the Air Ambulance Industry. Currently, Sergio works for HELIDOSA Aviation Group as the Chief Commercial Officer, based in the Dominican Republic. Additionally, Sergio serves on the Board of the European Aeromedical Institute (EURAMI), the world recognized accrediting body based in Germany.
Over the years, Sergio has been both an entrepreneur and an employee which provided him with the experience and knowledge of all aspects of an air medical transportation organization. Sergio´s background as a Lawyer and experience of working in different countries, has provided him with the skills to understand and direct organizations across borders.

Edmund Santiago

Edmund Santiago
Edmund Santiago was born 1 October, 1960 in New York City, NY.
He got a bachelor and master degree in Actuarial Science at the University of Iowa, in Iowa City, Iowa.
In 1985 Edmund joined American Life Insurance Company as a Senior Life Actuarial Analyst, then worked in the International Division of Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in New York as an Associate Actuary, and years later was appointed Chief Actuary in the International Division of the highly recognised insurance company John Alden.
In 1995 he was appointed President and CEO of International Reinsurance Managers (IRM) in Miami, Florida, where he was able to identify and develop new clients and create business opportunities.
Edmund later became President and CEO of Redbridge Holding, LLC, where he is a major shareholder and serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of all Redbridge affiliated companies. He is responsible for creating a unique portfolio of products and services, known as the most diverse in the insurance market, offering profitability to clients as well as to investors.
Additionally, Edmund has been a member of the YMCA since 1968, and actively participates as vice-president of the Puerto Rico Overseas Foundation (Proof), and Chairman of the Emilio “Millo” Romero Cuevas Foundation, in San Juan, PR, both institutions dedicated to sponsoring academic studies to young students.
