Sabine VanderLinden

Sabine VanderLinden
Sabine is a corporate strategist turned entrepreneur and the CEO and Managing Partner of Alchemy Crew, a venture lab that uses open innovation, ecosystem thinking, and parallel experimentation to accelerate the development and commercialisation of digital services and disruptive business models. She has over 25 years of experience in insurance, including serving as CEO and co-founder of two well-known acceleration programs in Europe and the United States. She worked with corporate insurers and helped growth ventures raise over $100 million in funding. Sabine is considered a pioneer in building digital business ecosystems, is co-editor of the bestseller The Insurtech Book, and is also a multi-award winner and FinTech/InsurTech influencer. She serves as an Honorary Senior Visiting Fellow at Bayes Business School, teaching FinTech/InsurTech business model disruption to executive MBAs.

Andy Cook

Andy Cook
Head of Colleague & Customer Success for AXA Health, Andy has an extensive background in customer-facing and contact-centre industries in a diverse range of D2C leadership roles across financial services, energy and consumer tech. Delivering transformation in service experiences, primarily centred around the digitisation of service experiences, he’s also a huge advocate of the increasing power and value that frontline teams deliver for companies, even in the age of digital first and automated experiences.

James Walker

James Walker
James joined Charles Taylor Assistance in 2006 and his roles have covered many areas, including medical costs assessment and processing, providing specialist pre-travel advice for travellers to remote locations and undergoing a cost containment secondment to the USA. These have all led to the role that he has had for the past 12 years, heading up the specialist in-house network and cost containment team. This involves being responsible for all aspects of network management, contracting and strategy (both transport and medical), identifying and maximising cost-saving opportunities for clients, and reviewing, auditing, and assessing healthcare invoices.

David Parry

David Parry
David has over twenty years’ experience in financial services market analysis. He joined Finaccord in 2008 and directs its team of consultants and researchers – with overall responsibility for its portfolio of reports and market models. He has helped to develop many of its proprietary methodologies that size and segment markets ranging from niche personal lines such as bicycle insurance to major commercial lines such as professional indemnity insurance. He also manages consulting projects undertaken by Finaccord that provide data and insight tailored to the specific requirements of clients.

Mary-Jo McDonald

Mary-Jo McDonald
Mary-Jo McDonald (known as MJ) is the Managing Director of Global Excel Europe, part of the Global Excel family. As a global healthcare risk management company, Global Excel works with insurers, corporates, NGOs, assistance companies and third-party administrators providing access to medical networks, cost avoidance, cost containment and medical claims management. A proud Kiwi (now living as an expat in the UK) and a keen traveller – MJ’s experience in the travel, medical and general sectors started over 25 years ago in the insurance brokerage industry and has gradually expanded over the years to include emergency assistance, claims management, cost avoidance and international health care access.

Jason Davis

Jason Davis
Jason is the Chief Revenue Officer at The Phia Group LLC (via its affiliate Phia International) and guides the organisation’s product development, business development functions, client success, and channel partnerships. Prior to his time at The Phia group, Jason was Vice-President US Markets for another cost-containment company, where for nearly 10 years, he contributed at various levels of claim settlement, dispute resolution, R&D, product development, sales, and leadership. He also founded JCDC in 2014, which is a cost-containment company that catered to International payers with exposure in the US. In order to expand its reach into International markets, The Phia Group acquired JCDC in 2020. As such, Jason’s network of industry partners, contacts and clients are spread all over the world.
Jason or ‘Jay’ (as he is so often called) is a self-professed and proud ‘nerd.’ He is a consistent contributor to industry periodicals, and a regular speaker at conferences that address medical cost-containment issues for multiple insurance industries. Jason loves to work hard, play hard, travel, and spend time with his wife, Kim and their four children – Aleithea, Kairus, Xeidan and Mohzen.

Elizabeth Mulley

Elizabeth Mulley
Elizabeth is a Senior Associate in Trowers & Hamlins’ Dispute Resolution and Litigation department, focusing on complex and high-value commercial disputes with particular expertise in fraud disputes and investigations and cyber security breaches.
Elizabeth’s expertise in fraud includes securing freezing injunctions both within the English jurisdiction and worldwide, and tracing assets and the proceeds of fraud on a global scale. She is also experienced in assisting clients with internal fraud investigations as well as conducting extensive external fraud investigations for clients following complaints reported by whistleblowers.
Elizabeth also assists clients to prepare for and navigate cyber security breaches if they fall victim. In connection with this, she also advises her clients on their compliance issues and steps to take to prevent fraud and cyber breaches including preparing full suites of financial crime policies and providing training to clients on the same.
Elizabeth acts for both private and public sector clients across a breadth of industry sectors in relation to national and international disputes including acting for businesses, charities, councils, housing associations, government bodies and private individuals.

Jonathan Frankham

Jonathan Frankham
Jonathan Frankham is an established Senior Executive with over 10 years’ experience in multinational organisations, including Big 4 and FTSE 100 insurers. With a proven track record of delivering change and process improvement in challenging and fast-paced environments and leading cross-functional multi-location teams, Jonathan was a natural fit to take on the role of General Manager, UK & Europe at nib Group in May 2022, having previously served as the group’s Divisional Financial Controller and Head of Internal Audit.

Nejc Jus

Nejc Jus
Nejc Jus is the Head of Research at the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) and is based in London. He is responsible for shaping, leading and implementing the WTTC’s research agenda including the economic impact research. The research is a key pillar of WTTC’s advocacy and is used to support work in company’s strategic priority areas. Nejc is also responsible for building and maintaining relationships with company’s research partners. Prior to his role at WTTC, Nejc held various research positions at leading global real estate companies including JLL, Knight Frank and Savills. Nejc holds BA in Land Economy and Management Studies from University of Cambridge and MSc in Environmental Economics from University College London.
