This year’s theme of the ITIC MEA Medical Assistance Forum focuses on decision-making in aeromedical operations. Experts will discuss decision matrix frameworks, governance principles, and real-world case experiences that guide safe and responsible aeromedical care. Under consideration will be VIP and high-visibility transfers; assessing when the risks of transporting a critically ill patient outweigh the benefits of repatriation; and operational and clinical judgement during high-pressure events such as aircraft technical issues, diversions, or unexpected in-flight deterioration.
