Juan Manuel “Juanma” Muñoz is a computer engineer and Corporate Security Director, accredited with multiple certifications. He has over 20 years of experience focusing on the management of international security organisations. He served as CSO for MAPFRE NORTH AMERICA, was the lead for security in the digital transformation of the MAPFRE Group. Since 2025, he has held the position of CSO at MAWDY. He is recognised for his specialisation in cybersecurity and cyber resilience and is considered a reference in the community for his strategic and transformative approach. He was a finalist for the CIONET CISO of the Year 2023 award and served on the governance team of Boston’s most prominent CISO association.

José L. Castellanos is the Head of Global Network at Falck Global Assistance, overseeing all provider relationships worldwide. With over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry and its ecosystem, José has a proven track record in managing complex projects, internationalisation, and supplier management. He holds university degrees from four different countries, showcasing his global perspective and cross-cultural expertise. Known for his strong communication skills in Danish, English, and Spanish, José excels in stakeholder management and project execution.

Amit is the Founder and CEO of CareAI Technologies, guided by a clear conviction: healthcare and insurance deliver their greatest impact when technology empowers people rather than complicating their work. His mission centres on leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) -driven and digital solutions to simplify complex healthcare operations – freeing teams to focus on patient care, outcomes, and trust.

Amit has worked across multiple countries and healthcare systems, partnering closely with insurers, hospitals, medical assistance companies, and government bodies. This cross-border exposure has given him a deep, ground-level understanding of the operational, clinical, and coordination challenges faced by patients, caregivers, and administrators and the systemic gaps that well-designed innovation can meaningfully bridge.

Several of Amit’s innovations in insurance and banking have received global recognition and prestigious awards from government and industry bodies.

He is passionate about creating platforms that are practical, scalable, and deeply human.

Dr Elmahy is a distinguished insurance and reinsurance executive, policy authority, and academic voice with over three decades of experience spanning reinsurance strategy, regulatory systems, and technology-enabled risk governance across the Middle East and Africa. Her professional journey began at Egypt Re in 1991, establishing a deep technical foundation in treaty structuring, capital optimisation, and complex risk transfer mechanisms.

Her expertise encompasses proportional and non-proportional reinsurance, regulatory compliance, and systemic risk modelling, with sustained engagement at the intersection of Re/InsurTech and medical insurance management.

Dr Elmahy contributes advanced thought leadership on the application of artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, and digital platforms in healthcare risk pooling, medical cost containment, claims governance, and fraud mitigation – reflecting the evolving strategic role of reinsurers in health insurance sustainability.

A prominent contributor to FinTech and InsurTech discourse, she has chaired and spoken at major regional and international forums, including presiding over the Africa Fintech.

William is the Marketing Director and Co-Owner of William Russell, an MGA specialising in international health and protection insurance for the globally mobile. With a background in user experience (UX) and search engine optimisation (SEO), William brings a data-driven, customer-first approach to insurance distribution at William Russell, where he leads the marketing and digital functions. William is also an advocate of family-owned businesses like William Russell in the UK. He lives in North London and, away from work, helps run a cricket club in Hackney.

Sebastien Bedu is the General Manager of the Middle East team, based at the International SOS office in Dubai. He joined International SOS as the Branch Manager of MedAire, the Aviation & Maritime division of International SOS, in 2015.

In 2021, Sebastien was promoted as General Manager, GCC, where he led the Commercial and Operations teams for the region. In 2023, Sebastien’s scope was extended to the whole Middle East with a specific focus on International SOS’ Health & Security Travel Risk Management solutions.

Prior to joining International SOS, Sebastien worked for several large corporations where he was the Director of Sales for the Middle East.

Graeme is a multiple founder and recognised authority in the Insurtech and global insurance markets, with deep expertise in complex, high-risk, and non-standard insurance solutions. He is the Founder and CEO of Hotspot Cover, a specialist insurer supporting individuals and organisations operating in high-risk and conflict-affected regions worldwide. Graeme has built and scaled insurance platforms spanning underwriting, distribution, and technology, working closely with brokers, reinsurers, security providers, and regulators. Known for combining commercial rigour with on-the-ground risk insight, he focuses on building innovative insurance products that address real-world operational challenges in emerging and volatile markets.

Dr Joseph Lelo is the Medical Director at AMREF Flying Doctors. He is a practicing anaesthesiologist, intensivist and an experienced flight physician involved in execution and supervision of complex and demanding aeromedical transfers across the globe. He leads a team of thirty doctors and nurses involved in air ambulance service provision, life support training and medical third-party service administration. He is also an aviation medical examiner with the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority with certification in pre-hospital care and is also an advanced life support instructor with the American Heart Association. He as wide-ranging interests in aviation medicine, healthcare economics and use of AI in healthcare.

Dr Lelo is a graduate of The University of Nairobi’s medical school and he holds a Master of Medicine degree in Anaesthesiology and an MBA from the University of East London.

An avid but struggling golfer and open water scuba diver, Joseph is married. He and his wife Margaret have two teenage children, a boy and a girl.
