Helen Calderini is Head of Global Medical Network at April International.

Raised in Worcestershire, UK, Helen completed her Business Management Degree at the University of Worcester from where she then leapt on a plane for French adventures and has never looked back! Her becoming a dual citizen of France and the United Kingdom and working with multiple cultures brings a unique international perspective to her work. Her global experience has given her an appreciation for the value of family, life, and diversity of thoughts and opinions.

Helen has worked within the IPMI Industry for different players gaining 20 years of professional experience in Medical Network. She has a strong track record in building tailor-made networks across the world. Thanks to her comprehensive and documented understanding of network development and maintenance on all continents, Helen strives to ensure that all her provider negotiations meet the right balance between quality of care and cost containment.

Adrit is the Managing Director, APAC for CoverGo, an award-winning Insurtech providing enterprise software solutions to insurance companies and brokers globally. CoverGo has developed the first fully configurable, modular, no-code health insurance platform for omni-channel distribution, policy admin, and claims powered by 1000+ open insurance APIs, allowing insurance companies to configure and deploy products at record speed, across any cloud. Our vision is to replicate this across GI & Life to become the first fully configurable, no-code SaaS platform for all lines of business!

Prior to joining CoverGo, Adrit brings over 19+ years of experience in Insurance & Tech start-ups. Most recently, he was the Co-Founder & Co-CEO of another insurtech startup Symbo with a focus on Embedded Insurance; prior to which he was the CEO of a health tech start-up, Vivant. Before that, he held various leadership roles at RSA & AIG. Adrit considers himself a sum of many parts. He takes pride in his leadership skills and ability to excel in diverse roles across multiple markets having spent time in the U.S., U.K., MEA, and Singapore.

Given the time spent in Insurance, Insurtech & Healthtech, he understands the pain points and opportunities pertaining to Insurance (be it acquisition, trust, transparency, efficiency, or solving the true customer problem at the ‘moment of truth’ – when a claim happens)!

He is a firm believer that technology, platforms, and protection (be it health or insurance) are always seen to continue to evolve, and it so happens that tech innovation is the current now, hence – CoverGo. Insurance is ripe for evolution (or disruption), and Adrit’s goal remains to help make that happen! It really remains about making #insurancesexy!!!

Adrit’s educational development started at the Doon School. Eventually, he completed his Bachelors in Arts at Knox College and earned an MBA from the University of Strathclyde. He is a die-hard extrovert and would love to think that he can ‘slay’ anyone at golf (or be called a bandit on a good day), but with his wife, 2 kids, and a dog he makes time to be with family when he can. Runs are his ‘go-to’ these days for ’ self-care.

Dr. Jong is the Group CEO and Group Medical Director at EMA Global, a company he established in 1991. Renowned for contributions to clinical anaesthesia, intensive care medicine, and aeromedical expertise, Dr. Jong holds a prominent position as a leading sub-specialist in aeromedical medicine. He also meticulously supervises all transports and actively engages in the aeromedical training and quality assurance initiatives for EMA Global’s medical escorts.

Lily Chen brings extensive expertise in healthcare services management and health insurance solutions. A graduate of the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine, Lily began her career as the Marketing and Account Services Director for China’s first international clinic chain. After Parkway Health’s merger with World Link in 2009, she founded Essential Benefit Solutions, China’s first third-party administrator specializing in corporate wellness.

Under Lily’s leadership, Essential Benefit Solutions has delivered innovative corporate benefit solutions with a strong focus on health and wellness, helping organizations enhance employee well-being and engagement. In 2015, Lily became the Managing Director of JLT Insurance Brokers, overseeing its Employee Benefits (EB) business in China. Following JLT’s merger into Mercer in 2019, Lily reacquired the company and rebranded it under Essential.

Through the integration of advanced technology and a vast network of health service providers, Lily has elevated Essential into a premier corporate health solutions brand in China. Today, Essential is broadening its reach across Asia, delivering comprehensive health and wellness programs. The company collaborates closely with insurance providers, serving as both a broker and a health services platform provider.

Marc’s career started with the company as far back as 1995, on the repat travel desk for Voyageur 24, before ultimately becoming Director of Travel. He is now Chief Operating Officer for the Voyageur Group. From his first ITIC in Global as a delegate in Nassau, Bahamas, and missing just two ITIC Global events since,  he joined the moderating team in Athens 2023 and brings a new energy and style to moderating, and isn’t afraid to ask difficult questions, provoke debate, or laugh at himself.

Ian Cameron is the Founder of the Voyageur Group of which he is the CEO, and which also comprises ITIC, and he is Editor in Chief of ITIJ. He has been involved in events for over 30 years, and as Chairman of the Executive Committee, Ian has been instrumental in developing the ITIC community, bringing industry professionals together to network, share ideas and insights and build their businesses.

Mandy Langfield is Director of Publishing for Voyageur Group. In this capacity, she guides the editorial policy of the company, and ensures the content of the magazines (ITIJ and AirMed&Rescue) is relevant, insightful and valuable to their readers. Furthermore, she is a member of all the ITIC executive committees, consulting with other industry professionals on agenda topics and speaker briefs.
