Artificial intelligence (AI) part 1: Humanising Healthcare in the digital age
This session will discuss the balance between the humane aspects and AI’s utilisation in healthcare, and how different stakeholders, such as healthcare providers, government and international private regulators, payers, and assistance companies, need to engage with and understand its applications. Every part of the global healthcare delivery ecosystem has a role to play in how AI will affect the future of the industry.

AI part 2: AI for travel risk management
The rapid deployment of AI in all facets of the travel experience is changing how travel risk management (TRM) is performed and communicated to individuals and corporate organisations. This session will focus on how AI can influence TRM now, and what will happen in the future. Furthermore, we will consider how AI will up the ante as another attack surfaces once AI agents and AI capabilities are more broadly deployed.

AI part 3: Cyber risk – balancing innovation and security
This session will encompass a multitude of angles that consider how AI is affecting insurance claims and benefits. AI-enabled fraud is going to become more of a problem as deepfakes become more sophisticated, and the ability of an insurer to trust a digital document uploaded to a claims platform could be compromised. We will look at the risks of turning insurance claims processes digital and what measures can be taken to mitigate these risks, as well as the digital chain of custody, and the importance of making sure your telemedicine platform is totally secure.
Speaker
11:30 – 12:00 Conference Room | Ballroom
AI part 4: Cyber risk for business travellers and international students
Looking at how business travellers and the international student population are facing cyber risks will mean opening up conversations about security of information, and how your ‘data self’ is travelling independently – before you arrive, and after you leave a destination. Balancing the need for employees to access their work remotely with security concerns is imperative – what solutions can companies and insurers rely on? We consider the problem of siloed information – are organisations with globally mobile populations engaging with their cybersecurity teams?

Panel: Travel and medical assistance – now and in the future
The session will encompass several aspects of current and upcoming trends in travel and medical assistance services. They include the benefits of cashless network solutions – convenient for the customer, but do payers and providers really benefit from them, or are there risks we need to consider? We will also look at changing travel habits, and how medical assistance providers need to be ready to react when new destinations emerge and have their networks in place. With a new generation of travellers comes new customer demands – are service levels and benefits ready for this new challenge?

Medical Directors’ Forum
The Forum will focus on how medical directors of air ambulance and medical assistance providers make decisions on the safety of patients before each medevac flight. There are many situations when these decisions are made by MDs based on their assessments remotely. All MDs work independently and the clinical judgments on safety are purely their own. Should there be a ‘helpline’ or second medical opinion service available elsewhere? While accreditation organisations have guidelines to make medevacs operationally as safe as possible, there are no guidelines on the clinical safety of the patients.

Plus, we will consider the increase in preventative care benefits within IPMI policies – keeping employees out of hospitals in the first place; as well as the importance of tailored networks in key destinations for certain customer groups. Finally, we will examine the meaning of value-based healthcare and reference-based healthcare – what do they really mean?
